European Securitas Procurement organization

The European procurement organization owns the supplier ecosystem for Securitas in Europe (with the exception of IT suppliers) to ensure business excellence. Focus areas include quality, cost effectiveness, vendor and risk management. The team consists of category managers for both Direct and Indirect procurement as well as project managers, located across our main European countries (France, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, UK and Turkey) reporting to a Chief Procurement officer.

The team also acts as support for the country procurement leaders and offers expertise, guidance and support in all procurement related areas.

The role

The Category Manager Indirect will primarily focus on supporting the different Indirect categories excluding Real Estate, Fleet and Travel. These include (but are not limited to) Professional services, Transportation, HR, Insurance, Workwear.

As we are focusing on process efficiency, digitalization, compliance and complexity reduction, main projects would include deploying an e-Procurement tool and supporting the deployment of a comprehensive Supplier Risk Management process.

Securitas has committed to the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi) with a 42% CO2 reduction target by 2030. Therefore, each of the category manager is also driving responsible for driving CO2 emission reduction projects.

Main tasks

• Category management Indirect procurement
• Business development
  • Drive sourcing change management within the organization.
  • Drive sourcing strategy work, category strategies and process changes.
• Lead, prepare and execute sourcing activities such as RFx’s, negotiations, escalations and management of supplier relations.
• Participate in internal forums such as the Procurement Europe community and represent category related cases, projects, initiatives and strategy etc.
• Function as Securitas representative towards suppliers possessing the interface both internally and externally.
• As part of Supplier Risk Management program, monitor performances of vendors and their compliance with their commitments.
• Represent Securitas towards European and international world leading companies.
• Internal stakeholder management
• Analyze and identify spend and supplier related opportunities.
• Report savings and results from sourcing activities.
• Continuously contribute to the development of the sourcing function and ways of working.

Experience and Competences

• Genuine background within procurement and/or sourcing, preferably by working in a strategic role in an international context.
• Experience in negotiating framework agreements in the relevant fields with excellent level of understanding legal language and terminology of contracting.
• 10+ years’ experience procurement.
• Experience of running change management projects with multiple stakeholders, preferably cross-border is highly desired.
• A university degree within relevant field (Commerce, Business, Engineering).
  • Additional procurement qualifications such as CIPS or CPM are beneficial.
• Result oriented and proactive approach with ability to prioritize own time and tasks.
• Critical thinking and challenging status quo with an open mind.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills with strong business acumen.
• Strategic mindset and a willingness to take on considerable responsibility.
• Ability to work collaboratively, and in a matrix management style organization.
