As an IT System Administrator at Securitas, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure in Croatia. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our systems, including servers, networks, user devices and various applications. You'll support daily IT operations by handling helpdesk, access controls, technical issues, and documentation. You'll also manage equipment, and collaborate with staff and partners to keep systems running smoothly and securely.

Our IT infrastructure is primarily Microsoft-based, featuring Windows PCs and local Active Directory for user management. We utilize ServiceNow as our main tool for incident and request registration, alongside SharePoint for collaboration. Our network equipment includes Cisco and D-Link devices, with plans to potentially integrate Palo Alto firewalls in the future. This setup supports a dynamic and responsive IT service, ensuring efficient operations across multiple office locations in Croatia. 

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain IT operations, including operating systems, applications, servers, user devices, endpoints (Windows), software, hardware, and additional systems as required.
• Maintaining and upgrading IT server and network infrastructure.
• Perform data backups and recovery processes to ensure system reliability.
• Set up user computers and implement access control measures.
• Respond to internal user requests to resolve technical issues (Helpdesk)
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Procure new IT equipment and manage equipment inventory efficiently.
• Manage the organisational directory effectively.
• Collaborate with Securitas employees globally, suppliers, and external partners to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

• At least 2 / 3 years of relevant experience in IT system administration.
• Proficiency in maintaining Microsoft operating systems.
• Good knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Critical thinking under pressure to address infrastructure challenges.
• Proficient in system management and troubleshooting
• Organised, systematic, and methodical approach to work tasks.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Valid B-category driving license.

Working conditions

The role is based in Securitas office in Zagreb, Croatia. It's an mostly on-site working model.
