About the role
The Business Analyst will be part of a high-performing and international team with the goal to expand Data & Analytics solutions for our BI deliveries for all Securitas countries with the main focus in the People Domain. You will be responsible for representing and coordinating the business perspective throughout the BI delivery process. This includes obtaining, clarifying, documenting, and mapping business requirements. Continuous improvement requires a broader end-to-end perspective and close collaboration across the team. The Business Analyst will collaborate with the IT Lead BI & Analytics, other business analysts, the Data Engineer team, and the BI developer / frontend designer to align possibilities to improve the BI deliverables. Based on input from the business, the Business Analyst advises the IT Lead BI & Analytics on the capabilities required by end users and monitors the delivery process from requirement through implementation.
The Business Analyst is expected to consistently consider data privacy and security when data is accessed, transferred, or shared. The role supports the definition and implementation of appropriate data-access and security controls in alignment with Legal and relevant data-protection stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and develop relationships with stakeholders across both IT and the business, with a particular focus on the People Domain.
Identify and document changes required in the data model to support new BI requirements.
Coordinate the end-to-end process from initial requirement through validation and delivery.
Engage existing communities of expertise, including country Power Users, to identify and prioritize enhancements to the BI platform.
Maintain regular engagement with business stakeholders to anticipate upcoming changes and their potential impact on the BI platform.
In cooperation with the IT Lead BI & Analytics manage end-user expectations and improve the engagement in our data-driven journey
Collaborate across the team and use the agreed DevOps tooling to maintain visibility of scope, status, dependencies, decisions, and delivery progress.
Ensure understanding and visible implementation of the company’s core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
Maintain awareness of the skills and experience available within the area, identify future capability needs, and coordinate with other departments where appropriate.
And any other duties as directed by the IT Lead BI & Analytics.
Competences
Candidates may have limited direct BI/IT delivery experience, provided they bring strong operational knowledge, clear data affinity, and the ability and motivation to develop into an effective Business-to-IT interface.
Strong business background within Securitas (or similar operational environment) with proven data affinity; experience as a key user / power user and understanding of how business processes translate into reporting needs.
Ability to elicit, analyze, prioritize, document, validate, and manage requirements, including business outcomes, definitions, mappings, assumptions, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
Ability to distinguish “needs vs. wants” and translate stakeholder expectations into prioritized, deliverable scope.
Good understanding of BI fundamentals and dimensional data-model concepts, including facts, dimensions, granularity, business definitions, data quality, and historical behavior.
Working knowledge of, or a strong willingness to learn, Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, sufficient to validate deliverables with users and collaborate effectively with BI Developers and Data Engineers.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills: ability to communicate, present and influence credibly at all levels, internally and externally; able to work across different cultures and countries.
Delivery mindset: ability to manage the process from requirement to deliverable, work in a structured way, and collaborate with multiple team members to keep track of status from start to end (incl. using DevOps tooling as defined by the team).
Data privacy & security awareness: consistently considers data privacy when moving/sharing data and supports the implementation of the security layer as agreed with the legal department.
Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving skills, proactive approach, and solid time management and self-management.
Strong business acumen and commercial awareness, with the ability to connect reporting requirements to operational and business outcomes.
Requirements

Experience in time sensitive projects / environments
Knowledge and experience working with different cultures / countries
Fluent in English both spoken and written. Bonus: knowledge of additional language(s)

Preferred / Recommended
Background in Securitas operations/business (or similar service/operations environment) and motivation to transition into IT/BI.
Experience as a key user / power user or acting as an interface between operations and reporting/IT topics.
Comfort running or participating in workshops and translating business topics into structured outcomes.
