The objective of this program is to transform our organization and processes in all European countries with new common platform enabler. The program has been launched 4 years ago and we now enter a new phase to manage the roll-out in the different countries as we already have some countries live to support in the business-as-usual mode.
Role Purpose
The Data Domain Manager for Client Data is the leader responsible for developing, defining, measuring, and continuously driving the quality of Client master, meta- and reference data. The objective is to provide trusted and fit-for-purpose Client data in the Global Connectivity Platform (GCP) and across the system landscape.
The role is the strategic link between Commercial, Operations, Finance and IT to ensure Client data continuously meets all downstream and upstream business and system requirements.
Key stakeholders are global, divisional and local Commercial, Operations and Finance functions. Within IT this role collaborates closely with the Customer Engagement Platform – CEP (a collection of CRM, CPQ and similar capabilities etc.), Global Data Platform (Analytics plane), Data Governance, Enterprise Data Architecture and Business Architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand and Co-Own Client Data End-to-End
Understand and record Client data processes (CRUD) - largely in the CEP which serves as a proxy MDM. Also follow through and create end-to-end visibility of requirements in operations and finance and analytics in collaboration with Business Architecture.
Benchmark the effectiveness and efficiency of these processes and identify best practices with the help of Commercial, Operations and Financial stakeholders, Client Data stewards and Business Architecture. Agree common best practice processes (and their variations) across the group.
Define data roles and responsibilities in these processes with stakeholders, both data producers and data consumers, in collaboration with Data Governance.
Continuously collect, document and agree Client data requirements from data consumers and filter, prioritize and manage change.
Drive the Implementation of the Common Information Model for Client Data
Ensure that Client data is consistently represented across all systems (for ex. Commercial, Operations, Finance) in alignment with the Common Information Model.
Collect, filter and manage data model change requests from the business and involve Enterprise Data Architecture to generate impact analyses and update schedules of the CIM.
Track and oversee the implementation of such changes in collaboration with Client Data Stakeholders and sponsors.
Manage Fit-for-Purpose Data Quality
Measure and report on compliance of Client data in the CEP and Global Data Platform and other core systems against the CIM people data model.
Analyze root causes for poor data quality and develop action plans to remediate defects and remove root causes.
Develop training material, and provide support to individuals who take over Client data roles (new account managers, sales managers, sales support, marketing, but also operations and finance) leveraging where possible existing training and onboarding processes (new user trainings or handbooks for CEP or other core tools etc.)
Collaborate with Privacy, Compliance, and Security to ensure data practices meet legal and regulatory requirements.
Manage the Client Data Service
Develop and agree V1 of Service Artefacts (Service Description, Process Summary, Operating Model, etc.)
Create effective communication channels with different stakeholder groups for business-as-usual and initiative specific updates.
Agree and execute engagement model with key stakeholders including regular reviews to discuss data quality, remedial action plans etc.
Develop, agree and maintain a roadmap of Client data improvement initiatives.
Change Management & Communication
Communicate data standards, governance procedures, and changes clearly across the business.
Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure consistent data entry and stewardship.
Promote adoption of new data processes that reduce manual work and improve data reliability.
Required Competencies & Skills:
Analytical Skills
Strong ability to investigate data issues, identify root causes, and recommend improvements.
Ability to transform anecdotal evidence into actionable problem statements and develop business cases to leverage value or avoid waste and defects from the resolution.
Strong experience working in complex technological environments and heterogeneous business set-ups
Leadership & Communication
Strong influencing skills to drive alignment across various functions and with many business stakeholders.
Ability to facilitate governance discussions and communicate complex topics in simple terms.
B2B Client Data & Business Knowledge
Good experience working through commercial and value stream processes and client lifecycle data.
Familiarity with client hierarchies, third party data enrichment, Different Client roles and their connections (for ex. Sold-to, Bill-to-, Deliver-to).
Data Governance & Modeling Expertise
Experience with master data management, metadata governance, and enterprise data models.
Ability to translate business requirements into data definitions and model changes.
Systems Knowledge
Experience with CRM, Operations and Finance platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SAP ERP, Oracle ERP) and data governance or MDM tooling.

Improved Client Data Quality and 360 capabilities
Higher accuracy and consistency of key Client data, including hierarchies and connections between Sold-to, Bill-to and Deliver-to concepts.
Reduction in recurring data issues and manual correction needs.
Trustable and transparent Client Data usable for internal 360 as well as Client facing 360 views of the engagement.
Reduced Manual Effort for Commercial, Operations and Finance Leaders
Noticeable decrease in time spent maintaining spreadsheets, fixing data, or reconciling conflicting information.
Access reliable data without additional manual validation.
Single Digital Source of Truth Established
Consolidated, accurate and aligned Client data in the CEP, in the Global Data Platform and in the system landscape in general.
Clear & Adopted Data Standards
Agreed, documented, and actively used master data definitions for Client and related concepts such as Site, Service Location etc.
Finance teams operate with aligned data standards across functions.
Effective Data Governance Operating Model
Regular data governance forums established and functioning.
Clear ownership and accountability for all major Client data elements.
