Purpose

The Junior Buyer plays a key role in supporting the purchasing function at Securitas Technology Ireland, placing purchase orders, maintaining availability systems, communicating with suppliers to meet on-time business needs. 

What you’ll be doing

·         Creating purchase orders and expediting with suppliers to ensure timely receipt and smooth invoice matching

·         Maintaining supplier and purchasing planning records for lead time availability and price

·         Support stores and purchasing functions as required to meet operational needs

·         Communicating with internal customers regarding delivery schedules and material availability to ensure service performance targets are achieved

·         Complete day-to-day administrative tasks to support supply chain and purchasing activities

Experience & Knowledge

·         Previous experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

·         Good working knowledge of stock control and purchasing

·         Experience in purchasing and administrative roles

·         Level 7 or Level 8 IIPMM Or APICS, or similar professional college education with a strong emphasis on purchasing

·         Proven ability to work on own initiative, in a fast-paced, operational environment
