We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive BIM Technician to join our design team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality technical drawings and BIM models, with a strong focus on electrical systems and infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale projects, including data centres and high-performance facilities.
You’ll work closely with engineers, project managers, and installation teams to deliver accurate, coordinated, and standards-compliant BIM outputs from concept through to construction and as-built phases.
Major Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed 2D and 3D models using Revit (MEP focus) and AutoCAD.
- Interpret mark-ups and design changes to update drawings accordingly.
- Generate and maintain drawings and models for tender, construction, and installation phases.
- Translate hand sketches and engineering concepts into production-level drawings.
- Support compliance with QA/QC standards, BIM execution plans, and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and site installation crews.
- Produce as-built documentation by working closely with installation engineers.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders and assist in clash detection, drawing review, and issue resolution.
- Take ownership of specific project design elements, ensuring timely delivery to project milestones.
- Ensure that all outputs meet internal and client design standards.

Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (preferably MEP) and AutoCAD.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with BIM 360, Navisworks, or similar model coordination platforms (advantageous).
- Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu for markup and drawing review (a plus).
- Solid understanding of BIM workflows and drawing standards (e.g., ISO 19650 desirable).
Key Qualities
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a design environment.
- Previous work in the construction industry is required; experience in data centre construction is a strong advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Background in electrical design, security systems, or infrastructure design preferred.
