We are seeking an experienced and motivated Legal Counsel (M&A) to join our Group Legal, Risk, Business Ethics and Sustainability department, at Securitas AB’s head quarter in Stockholm. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of our company's legal operations, driving significant M&A transactions on a global scale. 

Responsibilities 

You will proactively and hands-on lead and independently manage the legal aspects of M&A transactions in different jurisdictions, working with internal and external stakeholders, and other advisors. 

Your responsibilities will cover the entire deal lifecycle, from M&A strategy, due diligence, legal structuring, and contract negotiations to post-closing integration. You will ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal compliance procedures, providing legal advice to senior decision-makers throughout the process. You will collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary teams, including finance, tax, and business units at regional and country levels, to ensure seamless execution of projects across various legal domains.

Requirements

• You have at least 5 years of experience as an M&A lawyer in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department, with substantial exposure to complex international M&A transactions and structuring projects. Experience from handling US transactions is a plus.
• You hold an LL.M. or equivalent legal qualification from a reputed university/law school. Additional relevant qualifications are a plus.
• You are fluent in English (additional language skills are a plus).
• You are highly organized, motivated, result-driven and a dynamic team player with strong analytical, communication and writing skills.
• You are proficient in using digital tools, including AI-based systems, to enhance your legal practice. Embracing these technologies is crucial to the future of this role.
• You are a proactive problem-solver with a practical hands-on approach capable of thinking innovatively while demonstrating strong business acumen.
• You possess a high degree of integrity, and your negotiation and relationship-building skills enable you to influence decision-makers effectively.
• You are adept at independently managing multiple projects simultaneously, making critical decisions under pressure in fast-paced, dynamic multicultural environments.
• You are flexible and willing to travel as needed to manage international projects within your remit.

Working conditions

• The role is based in Stockholm or Parsippany, New Jersey.
